About the Masterclass
The E-Waste Masterclass was developed under the Sustainable Recycling Industries (SRI) Programme, funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), and implemented in South Africa to build local capacity for safe, sustainable e-waste management.
This self-paced, 100% free online course takes around 4 hours to complete (excluding video time). It combines interactive content, quizzes, and practical examples so that anyone can learn how to handle e-waste correctly.
At the end of the course, you’ll complete an online assessment and earn a certificate of completion to recognise your new knowledge. Sign up using the registration form to access your free e-waste course online.

- Module 4 (Sustainable WEEE Management): Reduce, reuse, recycle, and responsible e-waste disposal.
- Module 5 (Take Action): Practical steps for households, schools, and businesses to manage e-waste effectively.
- Module 6 (Final Assessment & Certification): Test your knowledge and earn your certificate (65% pass mark).
