WEEE Incentives Mapping

The WEEE Incentive Mapping project was undertaken in order to identify and share all available incentives, accelerators, incubators, and related support programmes that exist in South Africa that are applicable to the WEEE recycling industry. This research aims to bolster the WEEE sector by highlighting tangible support programmes that can be leveraged by industry stakeholders.

The support programmes that were identified include those offered by government, private sector and not-for-profit (NPO) organisations, universities as well as international organisations. These come in various forms and include financial, technical, research, network, infrastructure, and training support. This support is aimed at a range of beneficiaries, including start-ups, individuals, SMMEs, NPOs, corporates, and universities.

The WEEE Incentives Mapping report and the database of all support mechanisms can be found and downloaded below.
